Drishyam The Conclusion Box Office: Ajay Devgn starrer enters Top 5 all-time highest opening-day grossers with Rs. 62.03 cr; beats Pathaan, Stree 2 and KGF Chapter 2

Drishyam The Conclusion has delivered a massive opening at the Indian box office, with the Ajay Devgn starrer collecting Rs. 62.03 crore on Day 1. The Abhishek Pathak directorial has now entered the Top 5 highest opening-day grossers of all time, according to the data supplied.

With Rs. 62.03 crore, Drishyam The Conclusion sits at No. 5 in the all-time opening-day chart. It trails Animal, which opened at Rs. 63.80 crore, by just Rs. 1.77 crore. At the top of the chart is Dhurandhar The Revenge with Rs. 90 crore, followed by Jawan at Rs. 75 crore and Pushpa 2 – The Rule at Rs. 72 crore.

The Ajay Devgn starrer has thus entered an elite club of films that have breached the Rs. 60 crore mark on the opening day. It has also opened ahead of Pathaan (Rs. 57 crore), Stree 2 (Rs. 55.40 crore), K.G.F – Chapter 2 (Rs. 53.95 crore), War (Rs. 54.35 crore) and Thugs Of Hindostan (Rs. 52.25 crore).

The scale of the opening is further underlined by the film's performance through the day. Bollywood Hungama reported that Drishyam The Conclusion had collected Rs. 15.33 crore by noon, before jumping to Rs. 33.50 crore by 5 PM. The film eventually closed Day 1 at Rs. 62.03 crore.

The opening also marks a major achievement for Devgn, whose previous career-best opening day was Singham Again at Rs. 43.70 crore. Drishyam The Conclusion has therefore taken his opening-day benchmark into an entirely different bracket.
