Srikanth did well on Sunday as Rs. 2.27 crores came in. The growth from Saturday number of Rs. 2.15 crores isn’t much but then that was expected too due to IPL finals in the evening. In fact, compared to last Friday, when Rs. 4.04 crores had come in, the drop is there but rest assured, it would be covered for in days to come as there is genuine appreciation for the film.
The film is finding its loyal set of target audiences stepping in and that will ensure that weekdays are stable all over again. Last Monday the film had collected Rs. 1.52 crores and somehow if it manages over Rs. 1 crore today then that would be quite good. For that, hold from Friday collections of Rs. 1.18 crores would need to be excellent and better than how it was in the first couple of weeks. Even if one accounts for holdover audiences from Sunday (who chose IPL over the film) coming in on Monday, the footfalls would be still curtailed and hence Rs. 1 crore would be a rather stretch.
The more realistic number is Rs. 75-80 lakhs and as long as that comes in as well; it would be continuation of a good run for the Rajkummar Rao starrer. The film has already collected Rs. 37.62 crores and is on course to go past the Rs. 40 crores mark by close of third week.
