It was a decent weekend for Bhaiyya Ji as just a little under Rs. 6 crores came in. This was anyways the best case scenario Bhaiyya Ji expected from the film which is having its prime audience in the interiors of the country and wasn’t really catering to the core multiplex audiences at major urban centres. Hence, considering that the film has been collecting from the single screens where the ticket rates are 50% or even lesser than their multiplex counterparts, Bhaiyya Ji has done fairly well.
That said, the film has seen a good enough release at not just the single screens but the multiplexes too, which means expectations are that it collects all over and particularly from A centres as well rather than just been relegated to B and C centre properties. Of late, there have been many films which have either collected mainly from key multiplexes or, in fact, at some select urban territories. Now the story is absolutely reversed for Bhaiyya Ji.
Nonetheless, for this set of target audiences, there is some level of entertainment on store and that reflects in Rs. 2.40 crores more that came on Sunday. That has pushed the total so far to Rs. 5.85 crores, which means that sooner it reaches the Rs. 10 crores mark, the better it would be for the Manoj Bajpayee starrer to aim for that next Rs. 10 crores, which can take it to potentially Rs. 20 crores lifetime.
