The Kashmir Files had limited promotions and clashed at the box office with Prabhas starrer pan India film Radhe Shyam. However, the massive response from the audience to the film has now prompted makers to increase the number of screens. With the film raking in nearly Rs. 100 crore in week one, the theatre chains and owners have also increased the number of shows for the film with some theatres beginning shows as early as 6.30 am.

The film which started with 650 screens across India will see Week 2 begin with a total screen count of over 4000. This surge in screen count comes despite the release of Akshay Kumar starrer Bachchhan Paandey on March 18. The Kashmir Files will now be competing at the box office with the Akshay Kumar starrer mass commercial entertainer during the long Holi weekend.

Meanwhile, The Kashmir Files has collected Rs. 97.30 crore in week one and is all set to enter the 100 crore club on Friday.
