Srikanth Box Office: Rajkummar Rao starrer collects over Rs. 8.50 crores more in second weekend, all set for Rs. 30 crores before close of second week
It was a good second weekend for Srikanth as more than Rs. 8.50 crores came in. While Friday saw a bit of a rise when compared to Thursday with Rs. 1.67 crores coming in, the jump on Saturday- despite a cracker of an IPL match between RCB and CSK - was quite good at Rs. 2.82 crores. There was always going to be this spill-over audience coming on Sunday and that’s exactly what happened with the growth being bigger than expected.
As a result, the film ended up breaching the Rs. 4 crores mark all over again on Sunday, which is really good trending. Apart from the fact that it’s a well-deserved film that’s finding all the right eyeballs, it was also helped by the fact that today is elections day in Maharashtra and as a result the footfalls were better last night. Moreover, due to the very same reason, collections will be quite stable today as well and it won’t be surprising if Rs. 1.50 crore mark is crossed all over again.
The film has now reached Rs. 26.57 crores already and Rs. 30 crores mark could well be crossed by Wednesday itself, leave aside Thursday. In fact, what comes in that day would be an added bonus for the film to take it comfortably into the third week. While Rs. 40 crores is pretty much a given for the film, bets could well be placed on an outside chance to hit a half century as well.
