Major Box Office: Here is how the Adivi Sesh starrer Major has been performing in the overseas market

The Adivi Sesh starrer Major that is based on the life of 26/11 martyr Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan was released last week on Friday. Being a multi lingual release the film has been raking in the moolah at the global box office. In fact, Major managed to draw in a massive Rs. 35.6 cr gross at the global box office across all languages. In this box office report, we look at the Hindi version of the film in the overseas markets.

As expected, the overseas market of U.S.A leads the charge for major with a collection of USD 8,49,406 [Rs. 6.6 cr.] coming in on its opening weekend. Not surprisingly, this market has emerged as the leader by far, with other territories like Australia and UK & Ireland following close behind with collections of A$ 1,23,590 [Rs. 69.04 lacs] and £ 52,794 [Rs. 51.21 lacs] respectively. Bringing up the rear are the overseas markets of Canada and New Zealand, where the film did not see much collections with USD 26,661 [Rs. 20.7 lacs] and NZ$ 9,450 [Rs. 4.78 lacs] coming in.

As of now, Major still run in theatres, with audience patronizing the film in droves. Given the positive response the film has received expectations are that the business of Major will continue to see growth over its first week running.
