Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 Box Office: Kartik Aaryan starrer collects Rs. 8.18 cr in Week 5; emerges as third highest fifth week grosser of 2022

The Anees Bazmee directorial Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 starring Kartik Aaryan released five weeks ago. After opening on a good note, the business of the film, which also features Kiara Advani, saw immense growth over its first weekend and first week. Following this, the Bhushan Kumar – Murad Khetani production continued its box office march decimating competition coming in from newer releases. After crossing the Rs. 100 cr and Rs. 150 cr mark, the film is now heading closer to the Rs. 200 cr mark.

In this box office report, we look at the fifth week collections of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 while comparing the same to previous release of 2022. Collecting Rs. 8.18 cr the Kartik Aaryan starrer has managed to surpass the collections of The Kashmir Files which had collected Rs. 3.25 cr to become the third highest fifth week grosser of 2022. Besides this the business of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 also manages to overshadow the collections of the Alia Bhatt film Gangubai Kathiawadi which had collected Rs. 1.74 cr. However, leading the list are the previous releases RRR which collected Rs. 12.15 cr and KGF – Chapter 2 which had collected Rs. 10.25 cr.

Not surprisingly, when compared to only non-dubbed Hindi releases the Anees Bazmee directorial, which enjoyed immense audience appreciation features as the highest fifth week grosser of 2022.

Currently, with the release of the multi starrer Jugjugg Jeeyo, coupled with the fact that Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 has released on OTT platform the business of the film has seen a decline. Currently pegged at Rs. 184.32 cr the overall collections of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 are expected to inch closer to the Rs. 200 cr mark with the film continuing to run in select locations.
