The Kashmir Files Box Office Collections: The Kashmir Files is fantastic collects Rs. 8.5 cr on Day 2; total collections at Rs. 12.05 cr

It is turning out to be 'achche din' again for Bollywood with two hit films running concurrently. While Gangubai Kathiawadi was already a bonafide hit after it entered the Rs. 100 Crore Club, The Kashmir Files is joining it as well in terms of sheer ROI quotient. Made on a low budget with minimal (conventional) marketing and promotion, the Vivek Agnihotri directed film is doing great guns and with that audiences now have a choice to watch yet another good film this week.

The film has a very good growth on Saturday as it rose from Friday collections of Rs. 3.55 crores to Rs. 8.5 crores. That's truly fantastic, especially if one considers the fact that the film is playing at only around 700 screens. With the collections reading Rs. 12.05 crores after two days, the weekend is set to be quite good with the budget of the film on the way to be recovered after the first week itself. Post that it would be time for profits to come in just from theatrical business and to think of it, there is a lot more set to come from OTT and satellite rights.

As for Gangubai Kathiawadi, it too is making some good profits for producers Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Jayantilal Gada. On Saturday, the film collected Rs. 4 crores* more and that has pushed the overall score to Rs. 112.39 crores*. The film has already gone past the recovery mark and with the OTT and satellite rights fetching in some very good moolah, whatever that comes in from theatrical business would be added profits for the Alia Bhatt starrer.

Radhe Shyam would need to rely upon the business that comes from the Telugu version since in Hindi it hasn't done well at all. If Friday was low, Saturday wasn't any better as just Rs. 5 crores* more come in. Not that it is surprising since this was one film which should have actually opened well instead of being a word of mouth affair. While the start by itself was low, not so encouraging word of mouth further disallowed any sort of growth for the Prabhas and Pooja Hegde starrer.
